PHASE 2: Tabernacle

Need #2

Our tabernacle has reached its capacity.

We’ve experienced year after year of Camp Meetings seating at capacity. There are approximately 40,000 United Pentecostals in Louisiana, yet we can only seat 5,000. Over the years, the existing tabernacle has undergone multiple renovations to accommodate.

We have maxed out our possibilities for this building.

Solution

A new tabernacle that responds to our growth.

This multipurpose facility will be built in two phases:

  • Phase One will increase our capacity from 5,000 to 7,500

  • Phase Two will increase our capacity to approximately 10,000.

New Tabernacle

This multipurpose facility will increase our seating capacity exponentially.

Platform and seating setup will be flexible to accommodate the many different events hosted here such as Kid’s and Youth Camps, Men’s and Women’s Conferences, Conventions, and Camp Meetings, including our Spanish ministries. Just as the builders saw the need for our current tabernacle, we too must see the need for growth and versatility.

Cost Effective

Building a new tabernacle allows us to repurpose our current facility.

Repurposing our current tabernacle prevents the necessity of building FIVE stand alone structures to meet existing needs.

Presently, we do not have housing for the staff needed to safely facilitate our summer camps and other events. Our dorms are at capacity, leaving campers with no place to stay.

Our dining hall and concession cannot efficiently provide meals for the children and young adults that attend our summer camps.

The current tabernacle will become the central hub for dining, indoor concession, volunteer staff housing, and much needed meeting space for seminars.

Overhangs will provide shade and protection from rain as guests make their way to the main entrance.

Overflow parking and shuttle drop-off at the doors will be available for large events.

Tabernacle Exterior

This beautiful entryway will lead into a spacious, contemporary lobby with floor to ceiling windows offering plenty of natural light. The new tabernacle will be visible from Hwy 167 and will be a beacon to thousands.
